For men over 50 · No drugs · No supplements to buy
Only 3 in 100 American men are metabolically healthy. At 58, I wasn't one of them. At 62, I am.
No drugs, no surgery, no supplements to buy. A 7-day water fast to break the cycle, high-protein eating to strip the fat without losing your strength, and a plan for the part nobody talks about: keeping it off.

My numbers, measured, no medication. One man's results. Yours will be your own.
Eat less.
Move more.
Try harder.
It's not your fault.
And it's fixable.
You already know what they'll tell you
The belly isn't a willpower problem.
You've heard it from a doctor with seven minutes to spare. Maybe from your wife. Maybe you've said it to yourself at 11 p.m. with the fridge door open.
Telling an overweight man to eat less and move more is like telling a man with asthma to breathe better.
Here's what nobody told you. Once your insulin runs high and your brain stops hearing leptin, hunger isn't a decision you're making badly. It's a signal, and it beats willpower every time. A man with normal metabolism doesn't understand that, because he's never had to argue with his own body at 3 p.m.
What the plan actually is
Three phases. One for the rest of your life.
1
The fast
A water fast, seven days minimum, water and electrolytes with a tablespoon of butter a day to keep your gallbladder working. It drops your insulin to the floor and breaks the hunger cycle. Days one to three are hard. I'll tell you exactly what to expect and when to stop.
2
The protein-sparing phase
Lean protein, two grams per kilo of your lean mass, calculated for you from a tape measure. This is how you lose the fat and keep the strength.
3
The Long Downhill
More protein, fewer starchy carbs, fat not demonized. Two real meals, protein first, no snacking, eaten whenever your day allows. No eating windows, no clock to obey. A plan that fits your life, not a life bent to fit the plan.
Plus two lifting sessions and three short sprint sessions a week. About twenty minutes of real work. No gym required.
Losing it is the easy part. This program is built for the hard part.
What you get
Three ways in. Go as deep as you want.
Brotherhood
- The course, in levels. Pass a short quiz, the next level opens. No drip feed, no waiting a week for a video.
- The Brotherhood. Men your age doing the same thing. Check in every morning.
- Your numbers, not just your weight. Weigh in daily and the site draws your real trend line through the water swings, so one salty dinner doesn't convince you it stopped working. Waist-to-height, waist-to-hip, a neck check for sleep apnea, body fat from a tape measure, and your daily protein target, calculated.
- A live Q&A every week. Bring your questions, the room votes on which ones I answer, and every session is recorded. Miss one, watch the replay.
Premium
Everything in Brotherhood, plus:
- Ask BMF. Our AI, answering from the same research library every lesson is built on. Day two of your fast at 2 a.m., you still get an answer.
- An accountability partner matched to you. Same state, same hours, same team, same stage of life. You pick who to ask. Up to three.
- Squads. Four to eight men on a fifteen-minute video standup, led by a Sergeant, as soon as a Sergeant has a seat for you.
- The Evidence Vault. Every claim we make, with its source, labeled proven, observed or speculative. New research is read and graded as it lands: you get the update, not the six-year-old version.
Premium Annual
All of Premium for twelve months, plus:
- The fasting bracelet I wear on every fast. Thirty marks on the back. Fill one in each day.
- Your own workout and eating plan, built from your numbers, with a video from me walking you through it.
- The Lab Decoder. How to read your own bloodwork.
- Your price never goes up. The price you join at is yours for life.
Where it leads
You can't buy your way in. You earn it.
Finish the levels, take your baseline measurements, and you earn the rank of Candidate. That unlocks the application for the next fasting cohort: about thirty men, daily meetings at lunchtime US time with me in the room, right here on our own site. No Zoom, no app.
I read every application and talk to every man before he's accepted, because I want men who finish.
The part most programs skip
The research never stops. That's the point.
Most programs are written once and never touched again. The science keeps moving. So do we.
Every week, new studies land, and someone on the internet wraps themselves around one. A headline says fasting destroys muscle. A guru says some supplement reverses everything. Half of them didn't read the paper. Some of them want to sell you the cure.
We do the reading so you don't have to. When a claim floats up, from a study, a guru or a comment section, we find the actual paper and check what it really measured. Then we grade it in plain language: proven, observed, or still a guess. If we're guessing, it says so.
That's not a slogan. Every claim in this program carries its source, and every source carries a grade. It's why Ask BMF answers from the same research library every lesson is built on, not from what some influencer said last night.
You're not paying for a man's opinion. You're paying for a man who does the reading, so you don't have to.

from supplements, affiliates or sponsors. Ever.
We don't sell supplements. We never will.
No affiliate links, no sponsors, nobody paying us to recommend anything. When a supplement has evidence behind it, we show you the evidence and the safety warnings, and you buy it anywhere you like. We make money one way: your membership.
Your doctor is on the team.
If you take medicine for blood pressure or blood sugar, those doses were sized for the old you, and fasting moves both fast. Talk to your doctor before you start. We suggest it, we help you have the conversation, and we never require a note.
Questions
What men ask first.
Is fasting safe?
A German clinic tracked 1,422 people fasting up to three weeks: side effects in fewer than one in a hundred. A US medical centre reviewed 768 supervised water fasts: two serious problems, no deaths. The deaths you may have read about are fifty years old, from months-long fasts with no monitoring. Every rule we follow comes from those lessons. And if you're on insulin, a sulfonylurea, a blood thinner, or you have gallstones, talk to your doctor before you start.
My doctor says one to two pounds a week.
That number isn't a measured safety limit. It's what a 500-calorie-a-day deficit produces. The usual reason given, that fast loss comes back faster, has been tested: 200 adults randomized to twelve weeks fast or thirty-six weeks slow regained the same share after three years, but eight in ten of the fast group reached the target against five in ten of the slow group. What your doctor is right about: deep cuts cost a bigger share of muscle, which is why we set your protein by your lean mass and you lift twice a week. And fast loss raises gallstone risk, which is why the butter is in the protocol and we ask about stones before you start.
Will I lose muscle?
Every way of losing weight costs some muscle: fasting, diets, the shots, surgery. The fast's big number is mostly water and stored sugar, and it comes back when you eat. Your strength holds. Protein and lifting protect the rest. Four months after my fast, at 58, I was benching 100 kilos.
I've failed at every diet.
So had I. That's why a third of this program is about the months after the weight comes off. Your fat cells don't forget, your hunger hormones stay loud for a year, and nobody warned me either. That part isn't a bonus module here. It's the point.
Do I need a gym?
No. Two full-body sessions a week and short sprints on grass. If your knees are bad, a bike or an elliptical does the same job.
What if it's not for me?
Email us within 30 days and we refund everything. No questions, no “prove you followed the plan.”
Is this for women?
BMF is built by a man, for men. Women have fasting needs and risks I'm not qualified to coach. I'd rather say that than take your money.
How do I cancel?
